He comes from a family of artists, his father was an artist, and his grandfather was an architect. His mother owned an art gallery in Omsk.
Gleb began painting at an early age; his father gave him his first lessons.
He attended the St Petersburg Academy of Art and did post graduate work in the famous Master Class of Valeriy Kulikov, who remains one of Glebs closest friends and mentors.
Gleb became a professional artist at 15 when he sold his first painting at the central Gallery in Moscow. His first Museum show was held when he was 16 years old.
Gleb relocated to Prague in 1998 where he began showing in galleries, this garnered him attention and soon he began showing throughout Europe. Gleb has exhibited in most major cities in Europe.
Gleb works exclusively with a painting knife using oil on canvas
He has been exhibiting in America for two years.
He began releasing signed and numbered limited edition prints last year
In 2005 Gleb was awarded the coveted: First report of the UK young artist of the year
He is married, his wife Elena gave birth to a girl named Sonya on July 12th of this year, they currently reside in St Petersburg, however Gleb travels extensively for inspiration for his paintings
