Jacquelynn Kresman

Jacquelynn Kresman was raised in San Diego, California. As an artist, her mission has been to capture on canvas every inch of the breathtaking shoreline of her native state. Living just a block from the beach, Kresman, as she signs her work, had probed that seashore since she was a child, and she took naturally to the sea-conscious environment from which she sprung. After study at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Kresman set about to develop a carefully honed expertise in painting those shoreline creatures that would later populate her detailed tide pool paintings. Kresman, on occasion, has followed the ocean's lure to other locales. Her brush and palette have stolen away scenes as varied as the alluring tide pools of Puerto Rico to the Hawaiian curls so prized by surfers the world over. Kresman is as adept at painting people and landscapes as she is at painting her sought after marine works. Her choices of materials are oil on canvas or wood.

Kresman has exhibited at galleries nationwide including La Jolla, Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, Carmel by the Sea, and St. Armands Circle, Florida. Her work has been included in numerous one-woman shows and group exhibitions throughout the mainland United States, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.

The reviews dedicated to Ms. Kresman, which have appeared in a wide spectrum of art magazines, periodicals, and other publications, reflect the accolades elicited from her showings. Jacquelynn Kresman is acclaimed as one of the finest seascape painters working today
